Poker Anyone?
Well, if any of you like Texas Hold 'Em, I found out that our local pub, Oskie's (in the West End), is a participant in the National Pub Poker League. They hold tournaments every Thursday at 7PM & 10PM. And it doesn't cost you any money to play! So, if you don't know much about poker and want to learn, well, here's your chance. Meet some people, have some fun and enjoy life!

Mike, I am in the 37922 as well. Do they offer any prizes or anything for the winner? Just curious. I will probably go there this Thursday and check it out regardless. I hardly ever go to Oskies in the summer, but come football season I am there every Sunday afternoon.
Yeah, but I'm still learning how that all works. I know that the winner gets a t-shirt, and some seat at a regional tournament somewhere, I think.

I was there tonight and didn't fare to well. I didn't realize it was gonna be so organized. I will probably play the next few weeks, or at least until I can't put up with how cramped it ws early on. It was a fun time nonetheless. Hope you had a blast if you were there.

I was there last night and yes, it's crowded to begin with, but it does get better as the night wears on and people are eliminated. But such is life when you get involved with something nationwide like this.
