Attention All Movie Lovers!

I saw an ad in the KNS yesterday about the new Regal Pinnacle 18 that is opening up in Turkey Creek. From Monday, June 20th through June 22nd, they will be having $1 movies, $1 popcorn and $1 drinks! In addition, all the proceeds will be going to the Knoxville Charities! Monday will be for the Empty Stocking Fund, Tuesday for the Make a Wish Foundataion and Wednesday's Proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of ET Valley. So, movie lovers, here is your chance not only to see a "cheap movie", but to help out some worthy causes!

See y'all at the movies!

Also, Wednesday, they'll be having fireworks @ 9:45 PM

Have fun and enjoy.

The new cineplex is located within the city limits of Knoxville; will the one in Farragut remain open? Regardless, the sales tax revenue would seemingly be transferred from Farragut to Knoxville...right?

Well, considering the shape the Farragut Regal is in...can you say that it's going to stay open for long? These days, most movie goers want stadium seating with recliners, digital sound and ultra-bright and clear projection units. Do we even know if the Farragut Regal has any of those in all their screening rooms?

Say good-bye to 3% of the tax base.

To lose 3% of our tax base is unfortunate. But it's also a sign that we don't support enough of our businesses and our businesses in turn don't support us. I went to the Farragut Regal once, but found it to be in horrible shape, the screening room wasn't clean, the sound wasn't all that great and it just seemed cheap. JMHO.

The Regal Farragut needs upgrading really BAD! I went in on Tuesday into the new Pinnacle and man is it a great looking place! That's what they should have put in on the Farragut side.
