Single Life in Farragut?

Just curious, but is there anything aside from the Cotton Eyed Joe for single entertainment in the town of Farragut? I really would like your input on this, so let me know, o.k. Thanks.

On the bright side, you're only 30 minutes away from a great diverse scene downtown. On the downside, you have to waste an hour getting to & fro.

In this neighborhood, you ask for directions and are invited to dinner. When's the last time you heard about that happening in Farragut?

Responses to the above comments--

Thanks, I'm glad to be a part of the RTB.

I can't skate, but maybe I'll take up curling...

30 minutes just to drive, then I have to find a spot in the almost non-existing parking spaces. No thanks, I'll just have to pass.

Never heard of asking for directions and getting dinner instead. Not in Farragut, anyway. I did read that article and if it weren't for the fact that I work only 6 minutes from home, I might consider moving.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Well...you would have a quick "reverse" commute. Regarding parking...it is abundant downtown and you will likely walk a shorter distance than if you parked and shopped at West Town Mall. ;-)

Well, considering I don't go to West Town all that often, and when I do, I don't mind walking a bit. But in downtown, I have to pay $$$ if I want a close spot to where I'm going. Sure, I could find a spot on the street for less, but I usually end up 3 or 4 blocks away from where I wanted to be.
